Christmas is just around the corner…And the best way to get into the holiday spirit is to watch Christmas movies. These movies can be enjoyed with friends, family, or just by yourself.

This Movie is a Christmas Classic. It is one of my favorites because it is hilarious and shows family values. It is also a childhood classic.
The Nutcracker is one of my favorite movies because It is also a ballet. It has an amazing soundtrack paired with difficult and beautiful dance. Being set in D.C. it feels close to home. (literally)
8.The Nightmare Before Christmas
This film combines my two favorite holidays; Halloween and Christmas. It comes from the mind of the creative Tim Burton, and is a great film for the family. It incorporates joy and darkness to create a mood combining both holidays.
7.National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
This hilarious Christmas Classic is a must watch. It is silly, crazy, and shows the importance of family. It is insanely festive with a jolly soundtrack.
6.A Christmas Story
This Christmas film is played at my house on repeat every Christmas. It’s my dad’s personal favorite and I’ve practically memorized the insanely quotable movie.
5. The Santa Clause
A family classic, this film shows childlike belief. It is hilarious and all three movies are guaranteed to make you laugh.
4.How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Grinch is one of my favorites, because it has been remade many times, so that every generation can enjoy it, in their own special way.
Elf is the funniest Christmas movie of all time. It’s filled with fun and spirit, and is guaranteed to get you into the Christmas mood.
2. Love Actually
The ultimate rom-com, Love Actually tells of nine intertwined love stories happening in London during Christmas. It shows the one connection of us all: love. “If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.”
White Christmas is ranked number one because it’s such a classic. It has a little of everything. It’s hilarious, has fun music, and it’s romantic. White Christmas has stood the rest of time, and is still as loved as it was 64 years ago.
