Every summer, people look forward to seeing which new movies are coming to theaters. Here are five movies that I think will be worth checking out.
1. Toy Story 4 (June 21)
I’m pretty sure almost everybody has seen at least one of these movies. I have watched Toy Story 1, 2, and 3 countless times and I never get tired of them. Toy Story 3 was intense. The whole gang almost died in the end, but it turned out that everything was resolved and even though Andy went to college, Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toy crew found a new owner.
2. The Lion King (July 19)
There is no movie more iconic that Disney’s original The Lion King. Even though it came out 25 years ago, people still know the songs, go see the Broadway show, and watch the movie over and over again. This summer, Disney will release a realistic (as opposed to animated) version of the movie. Stars set to voice the characters include Beyoncé and James Earl Jones.
3. Spider-Man: Far From Home (July 5)
The recent release of the new Avengers movie left viewers with a craving for more superheroes. The new Spider-Man movie is here to fulfill fans’ request for more. The average-kid-turned-superhero saga will make its return this summer with plenty of action-packed scenes.
4. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw (August 2)
I guess the franchise can never go too far. The Fast and The Furious is making yet another movie, but this time things will be a little bit different. This will be a spin-off from the original series that follows the lives of Hobbs and Shaw as they go on another adventure.
5. Rocketman (May 31)
Finally, fans of Elton John can get a look at the eccentric life the Elton John lives. He’s a music icon and has no doubt had an exciting journey to becoming an American icon. This will no doubt be an intricate and fascinating flick.
